Welcome

We will be closed Wed Aug 27th and Sat Aug 30th to allow our volunteers a short vacation. Be sure to check here for updated schedules!

Welcome to Keystone Soldiers!
Supporting those on the frontlines of FREEDOM!

It is very easy to say we support our troops, it is another thing entirely to show you support them.

We are a 100% volunteer non profit organization. Through our organization and website you can show your support by becoming a volunteer, writing letters and cards to our troops or sending a care package. You may also make a donation to help with postage or you can sponsor a special care package to one of our troops.

The information for writing to the troops is listed in the Penpals N Packages section. Please follow the instructions there. We do NOT give out any personal information on our troops for their safety and security. Each letter you write will go to a different member of our military serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Korea or any other area we have troops away from home.

**Our contact email is keystonemilitary@yahoo.com! Please send ALL email communications to this address.

If you are in the military or have someone serving our country you would like added to our care package list or penpal list (or both) please send us an email at: keystonemilitary@yahoo.com and we will make sure they receive some letters and packages. If there is something special they need please be sure to let us know in your email. We will do our very best to get it in their care package! You are also welcome to send us photos of your soldier no matter where they are from or where they are serving. We will add it to our gallery and post it on our Wall of Fame in our office.

We have 2 different addresses! There is no street delivery by the post office for our building in Leesport. Please make sure you are using the correct address so that your packages do not get returned. If you take items to the post office to mail them to us you MUST use the PO Box address.

Monetary donations, inquiries, cards & letters for the troops and shipments of donations via USPS (United States Postal Service or the Post Office) only should be mailed to:

Keystone Soldiers
PO Box 152
Fleetwood, PA 19522

Please use the following address for shipping all physical donations via common carrier, UPS, DHL and FedEx Ground:

Keystone Soldiers
5 S. Centre Ave (Route 61)
Schoolside Plaza - Suite 106
Leesport, PA 19533

Phone: 610-698-2122

Our current Hours of Operation are Wed 10AM to 1PM and Sat 9 AM to 1 PM. Donation drop off can also be scheduled by calling the phone listed above. Please try to give us at least 48 hours notice so we can have volunteers available to assist. You are always welcome to visit us at this address during the posted hours of operation. Visitors are not only welcome they are encouraged! There is plenty of work for all who want to help!!
Our location is very easy to find. It is just 10 miles south of the Route 61S exit on I78 and 10 miles north of Reading, PA.

There is a link on the right side of the website where you can make a donation through Paypal or you can download our pledge/donation form and mail it to us. Your contributions are what keep the packages and mail flowing. We appreciate every penny! No donation is too small or too large and it all goes to shipping the care packages to our troops.

***If you contact us by email or are registering for the website, PLEASE, please be sure your email address is correct.*** Please see the article below on email settings to be sure you get our reply. We are on moderated registration so each new member must be approved by an admin. If you do not receive your password within 24 hours please send us an email and we will check on the problem.

Welcome Frederick, MD!

Site & Events News

Keystone Soldiers is proud to welcome our new drop off location in Frederick, MD.! Cheri Thompson did a super job of introducing Keystone Soldiers to the community and we cannot thank Gene of Frederick Nissan enough for the car show and all he did to make this event a HUGE success.

We will be adding Cheri's contact information to the drop off locations on the front page. Anyone in Maryland, as well as south central Pennsylvania can contact Cheryl Thompson at 240-446-4038 for an appointment to deliver items to her for shipping to our troops.

Here is the link to the article posted on Frederick.com: http://frederick.com/Keystone_Solders-a-332.html. I hope to get some of the video clips on our website but in the meantime you can watch the video and view the photos there.

I am waiting for the list of sponsors so we can thank each and every one!

It was a beautiful day in spite of the heat and we got to meet so many wonderful people. It was heartwarming to see one of the troops who had received our care packages AND the father of one of the female troops who we supported when she was deployed! THANK YOU! to our PA volunteers who made the trip to help. Stacey, Karen and Jim did a super job manning our booth. THANK YOU! to the legion of volunteers from Frederick who set up, cooked food, staffed the booths, sold tickets and made this day very special!

Registered users can login and view the new photo album in the Media Gallery! We have about 35 pictures that Jim took of the event and he even got some of the drifting burnout competition! If anyone else has pictures they would like included in the album please send me an email and I will send you instructions and the access to upload them.

Email Settings

Anyone on AOL or MSN should add keystone@keystonesoldiers.com and keystonemilitary@yahoo.com to their address book or friends list.

We are continuing to get passwords for site registration and important email information returned to us because AOL and several other ISPs (Internet Service Providers) think it is spam or do not allow attachments of any kind to go through.

If you still are not hearing from us after adding us to your address book there are several things you can do to make sure our mail gets through.

Create a Mail Rule. Create a new folder in your email named Keystone. Go to Set New Message Rule or what ever your email program calls it. The rule should be set so "Mail from XXXX@XXXX.com" goes directly to your Keystone folder. Add both our email addresses in place of the Xs. That means that our email will always go to the correct folder and you will see it as soon as you login. This works 90% of the time.

Get a free Hotmail or Yahoo account. Yahoo and Hotmail do not seem to have a problem with our email but you may also want to set up a Mail Rule on the account just in case. The accounts are free and allow you to read your email on the web. Since one of our email addresses is Yahoo you can guess who we recommend.

If you have registered on any of our sites and do not receive your password in 4 hours please email us directly so we can reset your password and send it to you again. Make sure you have followed the instructions above before you contact us or the email will not get to you when we reply.

We hope this helps eliminate some of the email issues we are currently seeing. If you have any other suggestions (since we do not use AOL) please post a comment here to share them. We hate to have anyone feeling rejected or ignored because they are not getting their information from us.

~Keystone
